Clients seeking perfection desire the level of craftsmanship we provide. Clients who value their homes not being disrupted during the process and clients who want the top quality finishes with the finest materials that will hold up to the elements on the coast. Those who want a contractor who is licensed, bonded, insured, and established. They also want a contractor who may be sympathetic to personal issues and or needs. We have all the answers! We are accustomed to taking down expensive drapes, taking proper care to keep the pleats intact and then carefully reinstalling them again after the project is complete. If needed we can custom blend paints to match existing walls, with each wall a different shade in accordance to which direction the light enters the room.
This is a job few tradesmen will tackle let alone do it properly and enjoy it. We enjoy this process knowing how deep the color of the wood will look after we stain it and how smooth the final layer of finish will be... smooth as glass. The key to chemical stripping is to cover all surfaces needed to be kept clean throughout the process. We are conscious of all surroundings areas. We cover plants and uncover daily so as to not damage them. Changing of tape, paper, plastic, often ensures our work surface is kept clean. We sand the clean wood surface thoroughly to insure the stains and finishes take evenly, while taking our time to do the most thorough job we can.

We are very careful of plants, cars in the driveway, boats on the dock, etc. We cover everything we can and prep the surfaces as best as possible. Whether we are sanding off the old finish down to bare wood or filling damaged areas with epoxy, polyester fillers or Bondo, we are far more thorough than others in this business. We apply the best finishes available that stand up to the elements of sun, water, fog, salt, air flight fall out, diesel from boats in the harbor, etc. The best way to insure that the exterior finish holds up is to apply many coats of primer to the surface before finish coating it. Washing of the home on a regular basis helps extend the life of the paint job, by removing harmful damaging contaminants from the surface. Many clients have complimented us on how clean we keep our work area, and appreciate how the tools are piled neatly out of the way.
To insure the wood accepts the stains, we prep the surface thoroughly. We clean the wood extensively to assure the wood is free of contaminants, and also to open up the pores. Then we apply a prep coat so that the stains take evenly. Finally we apply two or three coats, using the best stains on the market, to get the richest color.
I treat my client's home environment's as if they were my own...Spotless! We cover and protect all surfaces, furniture, artwork, etc. To keep them clean and dust free. We prep the enamel surfaces for what is considered standard, filling every imperfection. We also apply multiple primers, sanding thoroughly in between each coat. Vacuuming, cleaning, and wiping down of the surfaces in between coats insures the work to be free of dust and contaminants. When the paint is dry, the finish is furniture quality and can be compared to a high end car in the garage... slick and smooth as glass.
